The MoU was signed by professor Devang V Khakhar, Director, IIT Bombay and Surina Rajan, Director General, BIS at the IIT Bombay campus. The premier institution aims to provide IT-based technological solutions regarding various activities of the Bureau. IIT Bombay will develop infrastructure support for R&D projects of relevance to standardisation and BIS will provide financial assistance for such initiatives
