While the latest Men in Black (MIB) may not be a patch on the earlier movies in the series and definitely not on Tommy lee Jones and Will Smith, it doesn’t mean that everything is lost here.
The film has several moments which will make you laugh as also melt your heart with cute aliens and shudder at the ugly aliens.
Then there is Chris Hemsworth as Agent H (repalcing Will Smith). To see him step out of his Thor character is strange. One keeps hoping to see him beat the baddies to pulp rather being beaten up.
A scene where he is trying to reach out for a small hammer to beat the alien who has him by the scruff, he funny. As is the reference to him wearing pink pants.
Second, the gadgets are cool. The car and the bike that takes off at the press of a button will take you on a roller coaster ride. The CGI used to create the cute and ugly aliens is great too.
Finally, the NYC head of ops who is a woman (Emma Thompson) not only looks natty in black but has wit makes this one watchable.
