A 17-year-old boy was apprehended by the Delhi Police for allegedly stabbing his father to death in New Ashok Nagar area on Sunday after a heated argument, police said Monday.
It was alleged that the accused juvenile had heard his father arguing with his mother over monetary issues which triggered the 17-year-old boy.
According to police, a police control room (PCR) call was received at around 11.15 pm from Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital regarding a death by stabbing.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Pankaj Singh stated that during investigations, police discovered that the victim identified as Hazari Mukhiya (42) was stabbed in the chest by his 17-year-old son after a heated argument.
The victim’s wife took him to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital where he was declared brought dead. The body has been sent for post-mortem. Police stated that the deceased used to work as a labourer in a factory at Noida.
“The juvenile was apprehended and a case of murder has been registered at New Ashok Nagar Police Station,” said the DCP, adding that they are further investigating the matter.
