2-day International Level Conference Anusandhan 2019 concludeds

The two day International Level Conference Anusandhan 2019 concluded here on Friday. The conference was organised at the Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM).

On the second day of the programme was inaugurated by Shri Maharaj Muthu. Shri Maharaj Muthi is the member of the Rome Forum. He interacted with the audience.

He emphasized the usefulness of forests in achieving development goals in the next fifteen years of 169 goals of sustainable development. According to him, forests can not only prevent climate change, but it is a means of livelihood for 1.6 billion people of the world. Due to these, natural calamities such as floods, landslides and droughts can be stopped.

While addressing the concluding ceremony of the programme, Pankaj Shrivastav, the founder of the organization said that in his note that we need to link the concepts of sustainable development with economic activity. Elaborating further, he said, “If we do not wake up in time, then we will be moving forward towards anthropogenic destruction.”

While interacting with the students he told the Indian Institute of Forest Management, PGDSM course in the beginning of next session.

Therefore, there is a need for continuous effort in this regard. In the concluding ceremony Mr. BMS Rathore ji appreciated the contribution of this organization in this field. Programme organizer Professor Jayashree Dubey thanked all guests for making the programme successful.

It is to be noted that the theme of this programme was ‘A multi-faceted approach towards sustainable development: government, educationists, corporations, the role of civil society and citizens’. As many as 125 participants from 18 States of the country took part in this programme.
