A 20-year-old youth died after his bike was hit by a harvester machine at Banganga square in the night on Tuesday; ten people were injured after brakes of harvester machine failed at Banganga square and it hit vehicles at the square.
Injured were rushed to hospital after harvester machine mowed down around 10 vehicles. One of the injured died during treatment who was identified as Prabhakar Tiwari while his friend Akash sustained severe injuries. The deceased was a resident of Panna and was pursuing his studies in the state capital.
The condition of five injured is reportedly critical and are undergoing treatment at Hamidia hospital.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. Police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and started further investigation.
Police said that the harvester machine was moving from Roshanpura square towards Banganga square during which the brakes of the machine failed and machine hit around 10 vehicles.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old man died after he was hit by a speeding truck near Peoples Mall on Tuesday.
The deceased identified as Harinarayan Singh was hit by truck while he was on his way to work at Peoples Mall where he used to work as security guard.
After the accident he was rushed to hospital where he died during treatment.
Body was sent for the post mortem after preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and started further investigation.
