nDelhi Police on Friday has arrested a 22-year-old shooter of Jitender Gogi gang in national Capital. Police said that with his arrest they have solved eight cases of robbery, snatching, attempt to murder and arms act registered across the city. Police have also recovered a country made pistol along with three cartridges from the possession of the accused.
The accused has been identified as Pradeep alias Kala, a resident of village Bhalaswa in Delhi.
According to Jasmeet Singh, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), East District, on November 2, specific inputs were received that an associate of Jitender Gogi identified as Pradeep would be coming to Ghazipur Subji Mandi with loaded arms.
"Acting on the inputs, a trap was laid and Pradeep was arrested around 7 PM on November 2 from the area. During checking a country made pistol and three cartridges were recovered from the possession of the accused. Accordingly, a case under section 25 of Arms Act was registered at Patparganj Industrial Area police station," said the DCP.
"During interrogation, the accused disclosed that following the rivalry with other gangster Naresh Kumar, a resident of Mahendra Park area, he along with other co-accused
persons, all members of Jitender Gogi gang, fired 10-15 rounds in the street and
house of Naresh on May 23 this year," said the DCP adding that the accused further disclosed that he is wanted in three other heinous pending trial cases also.
