6-year-old girl student dies at Shiksha Niketan

A class I student of Shiksha Niketan, Telco died during the school hours after she complained of uneasiness on Tuesday.Six year old Vaishnavi Jha, daughter of Tata Motors employee A. K. Jha and a resident of Telco N type quarter had gone to school but did not participate in the morning assembly as she was not feeling well.

After assembly she complained of uneasiness and was brought to the school office by the support staff and was immediately rushed to the Tata Motors Hospital where the doctors declared her dead after initial check up. According to Vaishnavi's relatives she was already a cardiac patient and was undergoing treatment at the Brahmananda Multispeciality Hospital. The family had also taken her to Bengaluru for better treatment. Incidentally her brother had also died due to the same reason about 10 years ago when he was around the same age.

Principal of Shiksha Niketan Sumita Dey said that it was really sad news for them. " Though we had rushed her to the hospital as soon as she complained of uneasiness but the doctors declared her dead. She was a nice student and we feel sad to lost her," said Dey.
