Actress Preeti receives Bismillah Khan award

Theatre of Bhopal has reached its niche and is recieving appreciation from across the country. Director of The Rising Society of Art and Culture and famous actress of Bhopal, Preeti Jha Tiwari has received Ustad Bismillah Khan Youth Award in the field of acting.

This award is given to the artists working in the field of theatre and art. It was organised by Sangeet Natak Academy.

Preeti Jha Tiwari, who received this award, is from Bhopal and the only actress in the State who got this award in the field of acting. Preeti Jha has been active in theatre for over two and a half decades.

After recieving the award, she paid her gratitude towards Madhya Pradesh Directorate of Culture Directorate and their representatives and family and friends.  M.A. Theatrical arts, theatrical gems, theatrical poem, the beginning of acting from Maithili plays since 1992, So far, participation in more than 100 myths and Hindi plays.

She also recieved an opportunity to join the actress in many of the country's dramatic events, Shri Ram Center Theater and National Theater School.

 Jha got the opportunity to work with the color directors including Vijay Kumar, Prasanna, Mohan Maharishi, Ram Gopal Bajaj, Devendra Raj Ankur, Suresh Sharma, Chitranjan Tripathi, Tripurari Sharma, Chetan Dattare, MK Raina, Robin Das, Chitranjan Giri, Bansi Kaul, Mushtaq Kak, Avtar Sahni, Vijay Kumar, Chandrahas Tiwari, K.G. Trivedi, Anoop Joshi Bunty, Gopal Dube, Tanaji.

She performed in plays like Ghasiram Kotwal, Uttamacharitam, Vayalan seashore, Kafka one chapter, Tender gunda dress of Taj Mahal Ram Naam Satya Banabhatta Anandas' pot Gappu Gopa Gopagamdas, I want Amrita, Tarpan, Vasanti Sivanani, Babuji, do not go please, then one day of Ashadha etc.

She has directed plays like Ye Aadmi Ye Chuhe, Seema Par, Angulimal, Bodhayana, Nirvana, Budhuram wise, Rani Chennamma, Manto Khud and more.

She has been awarded for contribution in acting and theatre. She has recieved Junior Fellowship on Hindi Theatre Music by the Ministry of Culture, Iftikhar Acting Honor, Colored Status Award, Kalindika Samman, Arun Smriti Samman and Ministry of Culture of India.
