Deputy Commissioner Bokaro Mukesh Kumar issued directives to his officials for the upcoming assembly election 2019.
The DC chaired a review meeting about the preparations of elections with all the Block Development Officers, Zonal Officers and other officials, including the AERO, to identify all the PWD voters under their respective blocks and asked them to ensure that the elections are conducted fairly and peacefully.
He asked the officials to make available the list of polling booths, arrangements of drinking water, lights, sheds including mobile phone connectivity and way of monitoring as earliest.
He said that handicapped people should not face any kind of difficulties during polling and asked for the arrangements for ramp in all polling stations as per the Election Commission's guidelines.
"We are ready to conduct elections in safe and peaceful environment. We are also ready from the security point of view. Unprecedented security personnel comprising CRPF, BSF, Jharkhand police personnel, Magistrates, Micro observers would be deployed to conduct peaceful poll," Kumar said.
Later, the DC also held a meeting with representatives of trade unions for the upcoming Assembly elections. Deputy Development Commissioner Ravi Ranjan Mishra, AC Vijay Kumar Gupta, DCLR Prasupathi Nath Mishra, Deputy Election Officer Motilal Hembram and representatives of various labor organizations were present during the meeting.
