CM launches ‘Mera Parivar Bhajapa (BJP) Parivar’ drive

Thursday, 14 February 2019 | Parvinder Bhatia | Jamshedpur

In a move to garner mass support ahead of elections, Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Wednesday kicked off ‘Mera Parivar Bhajapa (BJP) Parivar’ (My Family BJP Family) campaign in his home constituency (Jamshedpur East). He also embarked on a whirlwind visit of three urban slums - Chhayanagar, Chhandinagar and Deonagar interacting with locals.

During over one and half hour drive that started from Chhayanagar at around 10 am Das along with party activists pasted stickers containing pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party national president Amit Shah, State president Laxman Gilua and Raghubar Das with party symbol ‘lotus’ with the tagline ‘Mera Parivar Bhajapa Parivar’ in several houses and installing party flags at houses.

It may be mentioned that BJP national president Amit Shah had started the campaign on Tuesday at Ahmedabad putting up party flags and stickers at their home.

“I am here to spread party’s vision of growth and progress. Indian Tricolour is the life of the country and BJP flag is the pride of the country,” said Das. He also asked party workers to increase party’s reach and message to every corner.

The CM also visited a community hall at Chhayanagar and addressed the people. “I would ask residents of these urban slums to reap benefits of Government schemes. I would like to assure that no houses would be demolished in any of the urban slums.  Our Government

has made it clear that demolition, if at all made necessary for development projects, will be done only after rehabilitation of affected families,” said Das.

The CM then went towards Chhandinagar and interacted with group of people while handing over party flags and stickers.  “In last four years we have given growth oriented governance. We are committed to provide houses for those without shelter under PMAY schemes. We are also committed to provide basic infrastructure in each of the urban slums like proper lights, road, drinking water, drains and sewage facilities.  Work has already started with Jusco agreeing to provide electricity and waters. I would like to encourage women to form sakhi mandals and obtain benefit of State Government schemes to improve their financial condition,” said Das.

The CM also interacted with inmates of leprosy ashram at Deonagar in Baradwari and distributing party flags and stickers before leaving for his residence at Agrico.

He reiterated that the Government is dedicated towards development of State with special focus on rural areas.  He said that the people will reap the benefits of the several welfare schemes is his Government’s priority.

He also motivated the workers to get ready for next election. He deliberated minutely on issues pertaining to the strengthening of the booth committees.
