CM seeks people’s blessing to build new J’khand

Sunday, 06 October 2019 | PNS | Ranchi

In the fourth leg of his Johar Jan Ashirvad Yatra Chief Minister Raghubar Das visited far off areas in latehar district and held several public meetings. The CM sought support and blessings from the people on the occasion and said that their support is building new Jharkhand of the dreams of martyrs Nilamber Pitamber.

Addressing the people Das said, “In 2014 Assembly elections I had come to Latehar and had said that if I get your blessings and BJP government is formed, each house of Garu will be brightened with electricity. Today, this has become a reality. We have kept our promise. The Congress has kept 30 lakh families away from electricity for 67 years and we did the work in just five years. After completion of 60 grids and 200 substations the power cut issue will also be resolved,” he said.

“Not only electricity, but you go to Santhal, Kolhan, villages on mountains, we have provided the means of transport, such as road. Ayushman Bharat for the treatment of the poor, respect for women. Ijjat Ghar, Ujjwala Yojana, Sakhi Mandal, Mukhyamantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana for farmers, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana, Sukanya Yojana for Girls, Skill Development for Youth. If the Congress, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, RJD and Jharkhand-based parties doing vote bank politics in the name of tribals, Dalits, the underprivileged had done the same thing during their rule, the situation in the entire country and Jharkhand would have been different. But these people only practiced selfish politics,” he said.

Das said the culture for which Nilambar Pitambar sacrificed his life, those who spoke of protecting tribal interests did not save that culture. “The BJP Government is giving incentives and other heads, including village heads, Maniki Munda. Those calling for the uplift of Tana Bhagats, a follower of Gandhiji, did not take care of them for years. But, the present government gave a free four-room house to Tana Bhagats. They are being given four cows for the purpose of financially strengthening them,” he said.

The CM said the Ministry of Skill Development was formed to make the youth skillful. So that the youth become skilled, they can be linked with employment and self-employment. “Not everyone can get a government job. Therefore, youth should also come forward in the field of business. Do modern farming, produce milk.

For this, Government schemes are in front of you, you should take advantage of them. Skill India Mission has given employment to youth of Jharkhand. Today, youth of Jharkhand are starting their self-employment by becoming skilled,” he said.

Das said before 2014, there was a problem of extremism in other districts of the State including Latehar. “In the last 5 years, the present government has made clear policy, decisions and jawans together to attack extremism. Now there is peace and quiet in this area. People have a sense of security. We have broken the back of extremism to a great extent. These works could have been done earlier, but the Congress and JMM cared not for the development of Latehar but for their own development. Congress and JMM exploited the resources of the State, looted it for years and deceived the people here in the name of development,” he said.

Suspended JVM legislator Prakash Ram joined BJP on the occasion.
