The 15th Finance Commission headed by its chairman N.K. Singh will visit Chhattisgarh from July 23 to 25.
During its stay, the Commission is scheduled to have meetings with the representatives of the state’s Panchayati Raj institutions and rural local bodies, representatives of the urban local bodies and the representatives of the political parties of the state.
The Commission will also have a meeting with the representatives of trade and industry bodies.
A presentation will be given to the Commission by the state’s additional chief secretary (home) and DG (police) on “combating Naxal extremism in Chhattisgarh”.
The Commission will also receive a presentation on the Naya Raipur Project (Atal Nagar) and will do a field visit to Naya Raipur.
On the last day of its visit, the Commission will have a detailed meeting with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and his cabinet colleagues.
There will be a presentation to the Finance Commission on the state’s finances followed by discussions.
