Godman rapes 32-year-old married woman

A 32-year-old married woman was sexually assaulted by a tantrik in Aishbagh area on November 26 by captivating her. Aishbagh police station has registered cases against her husband and tantric. Further investigation is on.

According to police, the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused Anwar Baba, who used to visit her house along with the husband.

In her complaint, the victim told the police that the accused was acquainted with her husband and used to visit her home frequently.

On November 26 last month, he came to her house and sexually assaulted her.

He threatened her of dire consequences if she shares the incident with anyone. Fearing the accused, she kept mum but after a few days, the accused contacted the victim again. After that, she reported the atrocity to police.

Earlier, the victim’s husband had divorced her but used to visit the house along with the accused.

The accused used to visit in the absence of the victim’s husband and later raped her.

The victim braved to lodge complaint and approached police on Tuesday.

The police have registered a case under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC and have started further investigation.

After the complaint was lodged, the husband and tantric went absconding till the time of  filing this report.

During the investigation, police found that the accused has a history of  molesting and harassing women devotees.

The victim has not revealed that the accused lured her and would be questioned regarding any kind of offer by the accused.

Police have registered cases against tantric and husband of the victim.
