Taking a stern note on the attachment of Ayurveda medical officers in the Uttarakhand Ayurveda University and reluctance shown by these attacked doctors in joining their original department, the Secretary Ayurveda R K Sudhanshu has said that their attachments should be cancelled. In an order released on Tuesday Sudhanshu curtly said that the university cannot cancel the orders of the state administration. It is worth mentioning here that 20 undergraduate and 34 post graduate medical officers of Ayurveda department are working on an attachment at the Uttarakhand Ayurveda University from last many years. The attachment of these doctors was done on the plea that the University had a shortage of teaching faculty. Incidentally, these attachments are continuing even though the university has made permanent appointments and it has obtained necessary permission from the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCMI).
