Miscreants targeted a house at Sundari Apartments in Arera colony and escaped with valuables worth Rs 60,000 on Tuesday. Habibganj police has started investigation.
Police said that the victim Rohit Dubey Singh, along with his family, had gone to his relatives and when he returned, he found the valuables to have been burgled.
A complaint was lodged by the victim with the Habibganj police and in his complaint, he stated that he along with his family had gone to his relatives in the afternoon and when they were at their relatives house they received information that their house was targeted and valuables were burgled
After they received the information, they returned to their house and found that the door was broken and electronic goods and jewellery missing. The victim claimed that gold and silver jewellery, silver coins and Rs 60,000 cash were burgled.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under sections 454 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Police said that the CCTV footage of the nearby installed cameras would be searched in the further investigation. The neighbours were not aware of the burglary.
The domestic help and security guard would be quizzed in the further investigation.
The burglary was committed in a short period of time which suggests that the miscreants were aware of the whereabouts of the victim.
The victim works with a private firm. Police suspects that the miscreants were aware of the whereabouts of the victims and some acquainted helped in the burglary.
