118 candidates file nomination

A total of 118 candidates have filed nomination for the four parliamentary constituencies including Ranchi, Koderma, Khunti and and Hazaribag seats on Thursday. The nomination paper will go for scrutiny on April 20 and April 22 is the date for withdrawal of candidature.

MECON awareness programme

MECON organized an awareness programme for its employees on Thursday. During the session, MECON Chairman cum Managing Director, Atul Bhatt administered pledge in Hindi and appealed all the employees to cast their vote. On the occasion, representatives from Election Commission demonstrated the proper use of EVM and VVPAT.

‘BIHAN’ to organise dance competition

‘BIHAN’ a social cultural organization is going to organize a colourful multi linguistic dance competition on April 28 at Doranda Girls Middle School. The various dance completion will be organised under category of including classical (solo), semi classical (solo), modern and contemporary (solo) and folk (group).

CBI conducts event on fire safety

Staff members conducted a fire drill on Thursday at the Regional Office, Central Bank of India (CBI), Ranchi, where detailed discussions on fire safety precautions and measures were discussed. Also a demo of fire extinguishers was done.  

Badge making at Sarla Birla School

‘Creativity is as important in education as literacy’, in a bid to inculcate this feeling among students, a badge making competition was organised at Sarla Birla School on Thursday. The theme of the competition was ‘My Resolution-2019’. Students showcased their artistic skills and innovative ideas to express their thoughts in a unique way keeping in mind their resolutions for the new session. The best designed badges were awarded.

Students perform well in Civil Services

Out of 759 candidates who appeared for civil services examination from Chanakya IAS Academy, more than 280 have been selected from various cities across the country. Five students of the academy where among the top 10 ranks including All India rank one Kanishka Katraia, all India rank three Junaid Ahmed, all India rank eight Vaishali Singh, all India rank nine Gunjan Dwivedi and all India rank ten Tanmavi Sharma.
