2 IPS officers get additional charge

Bhopal: Two Indian Administrative Service officers have been given additional charge by the state government. Managing Director Madhya Pradesh Textbook Corporation Anil Suchari has been given additional charge of Secretary MP Board of Secondary Education and Municipal Commissioner B Vijay Dutta has been given additional charge of Collector Bhopal.

‘1000 ponds of Bundelkhand region constructed’

Bhopal: Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Kamleshwar Patel said that nearly 1000 ponds of Bundelkhand region constructed in the 10th and 12th century will be revived. For this, a three-year work-plan is being prepared with the support of World Bank. Additional Chief Secretary Rural Development Gauri Singh is monitoring the project. Minister Patel said that the effort is being made to provide a permanent solution to the serious problem of drinking water in urban and rural areas of Bundelkhand region. In this, the participation of voluntary organizations will also be ensured. He told that all necessary work like survey of ponds, community mobilization, preparing DPR in the work plan will be done online. Secretary Rural Development Umakant Umrao has informed that under this project, six districts of Sagar division - Sagar, Tikamgarh, Chhattarpur, Panna, Damoh and Niwadi have been included. There are a large number of ponds of the Bundela-Chandel era in these districts, which are getting dilapidated in the absence of maintenance. These ponds will be revived with a scientific approach.

Mini firefighters installed for fire accidents

Bhopal: People living in villages now do not get perturbed on fire accidents in the rural areas of Betul district. Mini firefighters have been prepared to overcome fire accidents in the rural areas of the district. Water tankers in 27 major gram panchayats of the district have been given the form of mini firefighter by installing diesel pump and pipe. The district administration has also provided free training to the villagers through a private agency for operational. This scheme of mini fire fighter is being operated in collaboration with gram panchayats. The fire fighter costs only Rs 25,000.

Min reviews withdrawal of criminal cases

Bhopal: Home Minister Bala Bachchan and Law-Legal Affairs Minister PC Sharma today reviewed withdrawal of criminal cases particularly those related to dharna, demonstration, agitation etc. at a high-level meeting. Order was given for immediate action in the cases adhering to the legal process. It is noteworthy that in order to withdraw the above mentioned cases in public interest, the district-level committees have been asked to hold discussion on their recommendations and send them for immediate consideration before the government. Principal Secretary Home SN Mishra, Principal Secretary Law-Legal Affairs Satyendra Singh, Director Public Instructions Rajendra Kumar, Secretary Home Shahid Absar and Deputy Secretary Anju Bhadouria were present in the meeting.

 

Urban Governance centre at AIggpa

Bhopal: A Centre for Urban Governance will be opened in Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis (AIGGPA), Bhopal. This decision was taken at a meeting of the Executive Board presided by Director General of the Institute R Parashuram. Parashuram said that the Centre for Urban Governance is being opened with the intention of capacity building of the staff of the Urban Development and Housing Department as per Chief Minister Kamal Nath directive. This will be 5th centre in the country. Discussion was also held on projects presented by the Panchayat and Rural Development, Forest, Food and Civil Supplies Department. Implementation of National Food Security Bill was also discussed. Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Gauri Singh, Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Sanjay Dubey, Advisor of the Institute MM Upadhyaya and Mangesh Tyagi were present in the meeting.

steps to facilitate road traffic

Bhopal: In order to facilitate road traffic in the state, 55 Railway Over Bridges (ROB), 17 flyover bridges and 400 large and medium bridges will be constructed. For this, the Public Works Department has prepared a work plan of Rs 5,540 crores. All the tasks will be completed in the next 5 years. Public Works Minister Sajjan Singh Verma has instructed to complete the work plan in a time bound manner. According to the work-plan, 6 fly over bridges will be constructed in Indore, 2 in Gwalior, 5 in Bhopal, 2 in Chhindwara and 2 in Jabalpur. Apart from 55 railway over bridges (ROB), 400 large and medium bridges will be constructed in the state.
