DPS participated in DSSL

Students of Delhi Public School Ranchi came out with flying colours in Discovery School Super League powered by BYJU’S. More than 60 Lakh students participated from 17000 schools across 29 states and New Delhi. 34000 students were shortlisted for Round 2 of DSSL. Five Students namely Ishaan Hague, Samara Batool Hussain, Aditi vidya, Rishit Dash and Rohit Raj qualified in the round one. DPS Ranchi is delighted to inform that further two students Aditi Vidya & Rishit Dash qualified in the 2nd Round.

Lions Club holds diabetes camp

A free diabetes checkup cum awareness camp was organised by Lions Club of Bokaro thermal here on Thursday. Lions Club secretary, Nilesh Ekka said diabetes poses a greater threat for the less privileged members of the society who are unaware of the disease and the ways to fight it. So'the camp was designed with the main aim of increasing the awareness level of the slum dwellers, thereby equipping them with the knowledge to counter diabetes at an early stage, added Ekka. Club president B. Laxaminih informed that altogether 184 persons, of Bokaro thermal and its surroundings villages were examined during the camp. Ln Dr H Kumar MD in association with Rauson Kumar and others staffs of New JK Medical store, who attended the programme as resource persons, delivered a lecture on ‘Diabetes Awareness’.

Rapido Bike flagged off in Ranchi

Rapido Bike has launched its operations in Rachi. This Bengaluru-based organisation offers a novel take on an age-old concept of transportation by replacing the conventional four-wheeler taxis with bikes. The organisation wants to tackle the issues that commuters face due to heavy traffic conditions, especially during the morning rush hours. It offers commuters the alternative option of a bike instead of a car or public transport to navigate through traffic snarls quickly and reach your destination on time. In the wake of the launch, Rapido is currently offering introductory rates of just Rs 19 for 3 per KM. It aims to simplify commuting for citizens and enabling them to navigate the small roads and traffic snarls conveniently.

Condolence at DAV, Hbg

A condolence as well special hawan was organised in DAV Public School, Hazaribag in memory of Late Ram Narayan Jha who departed for heavenly abode on November 13. Offering his floral tribute to the portrait of Late R.N.Jha, the Principal of the school Ashok Kumar remembered the significant contribution made by Jha for development of DAV School, Hazaribag. The humble initiative of DAV CMC to impart Quality education to the children was continuously propelled and supported. He not only helped in recruiting well conversant, knowledgeable and dedicated teachers in the very beginning but also he made himself physically available whenever the school needed his guidance.

Inner Wheel Club donates water filter

Inner Wheel Club Jamshedpur Zest donated water filter on ocassion of Children’s Day at Utkramit Uchh Vidyalaya , Adityapur. Water filter has been given by given by Neha Shnagari. President Reema Adesara and Neha Shangari were present on the occasion. The club has been carrying philanthropic activities in the city.

Inter house volleyball tournament at DPS

An inter house volleyball competition was held for classes IX to XII at Delhi Public School, Ranchi. The final match was played between Jamuna House and Ravi House where the latter won by 2:1. Om Swapnil played extremely well in the entire tournament. Principal Dr Ram Singh appreciated the efforts of the players and congratulated the winning team. Singh strongly believes that sports are an integral part of a student’s life.

Monumental National flag at Ramgarh

Monumental flags will be installed at Ranchi, Lohardaga and Ramgarh Cantt railway stations under Ranchi Railway Division, which will have a height of 100 feet. The Monumental National Flag with a height of 100 feet (flag length is 30 feet and width is 20 feet) was installed in Ramgarh Cantt railway station premises on Thursday. Earlier on 25 September 2019, the Monumental National Flag (Monumental National Flag) was installed in Ranchi railway station premises. On this occasion, Assistant Divisional Operations Manager, Vibhuti Narayan Sharma, was present.

UMU holds workshop

A one-day workshop on ‘Social Media and Networking’ was held today at Usha Martin University. Speaking on various aspects related to social media, Advisor to Prasar Bharati (Doordarshan), Bharat Bhushan, addressing as keynote speaker of this workshop, said that only 2 percent people use smart phones for calling, most of them spent their time only on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp and other. He also said that the new media is also influencing the traditional media of news such as newspapers, radio and television.

Zerodha registers 135% growth

Zerodha, India’s number one technology-driven largest brokerage firm in the country in terms of active clients have registered over 135 per cent growth in Jharkhand and over 101 per cent growth in Ranchi during financial year 2018-19. Zerodha currently has an over all client user base of 1.7 million across India and grown tremendously in past one year.

Surendranath Centenary School

Children’s day celebrations were held with great enthusiasm at Surendranath Centenary School on November 14. Special assembly was conducted by the teachers in junior and senior wings with songs, dance performance and speech on the life of Pt Jawarharlal Nehru. Fancy dress competition was organised for UKG students. Magic show was conducted for the junior wing and students of class VI to VIII were taken for a picnic to Ormanjhi Zoo. Principal Samita Sinha said that children are the future of our country and we should take a pledge to seciure their present and future.

Children’s Day at Cambrian Public School

Children’s Day celebrations were held at Cambrian Public School on Thursday. For class Prep and nursery fancy dress and movie show, for class I to V ‘best out of waste’ and kitchen ninja was organised. Students of class VI and VII participated in various activities at  Rajkiyakrit Madhya Vidyalaya, Hatima while students of class VIII distributed books and sweets at St Thomas Gram Jyoti Vidyalaya, Dhurwa.
