nPeople from different walks of life have hailed the judgment of Supreme Court on Ayodhya dispute that came on Saturday.

Archaeologist and Padma Shri recipient Arun Kumar Sharma while welcoming the decision said it is a historical verdict which took long time.

Sharma who had carried out archaeological excavations at the disputed site in Ayodhya said that he never had any doubt that there existed some Hindu religious structure.

He, however, warned that since the site was historical the construction of a temple at the place will not be an easy task as construction on a historical site is not permitted as per the rules.

Mahfooz Alam, an employee of Panchayat department, also welcomed the same decision and termed it historic.

“The Supreme court of India has done a wonderful job. The verdict has ensured that peace and harmony between the two communities will remain intact and grow in coming days,” he said.

Nutesh Chandrakar, a resident of Samta Colony too termed the judgement significant and said the decision was ‘heart-winning’. While pointing towards formation of trust for the construction of temple, he said it was a very sensible step which will ensure that the ‘Ram Mandir’ at Ramlala will be iconic.

Manasi Mishra, a BA final year student, opined that it was really exciting to see the solution of a problem which few years back was considered impossible. The other wonderful aspect of the verdict was that it was embraced by people in peace and harmony, she pointed out.
