Rajya Sabha MP Mahesh Poddar has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to implement 17 different points and implement them in the first 100 days of the newly constituted government. Notably, the MP wrote the letter before the announcement of election results with a confidence that Modi government is going to get second term.
Poddar wants that those states get attractive incentives on the lines of Uday Yojna, which are capable of delivering 24X7 power supply. The MUDRA scheme should be made accessible to such extent so that no applicant eligible for the scheme should complain about getting loan even after qualifying. He has also asked for the provision for additional subsidy for beneficiaries of Prime Minister Ujjwala scheme.
Also, like the Golden Quadrilateral plan, one pair of Vande Bhawan Express on the eastern, western, northern and southern routes of the country should be made. He has asked that the proposed Steel Research and Technology Mission of India (SRTMI) to be set up in Ranchi. Indian passports should be issued for Hindus coming from Pakistan.
Apart from this, Poddar has urged for facility of overdraft upto Rs1-5 lakh at normal interest rate on the lines of Kisan Credit Card for small traders, issued on the basis of self-declaration licenses / permits across the country. He has asked for inclusion of 100 per cent beneficiaries under PMKSN and also asked for electric cars and two-wheeled vehicles made available to the general consumers.
The MP has urged for keeping their prices competitive by providing subsidy, providing free WiFi facility at stations with rural background. He has asked for providing the provision of reservation made in higher education for the poor / general category, in every situation with the current session. Immediate planning of treatment of water stored in Open Cast Mines in Dhanbad and making it available as drinking water Etc.
