PSPCL establishes 24-hour nodal complaint centre at all div offices

To provide relief or extend facility to its consumers for registration of their complaints on alternate number other than 1912, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has established 24-hour Nodal Complaint Centre at its all Divisional Offices throughout the State.

For the same, the PSPCL has issued instructions to the field officers to make all out efforts to educate or inform the consumers about phone number of the Nodal Complaint Centres.

The spokesperson said that the sub-division officers will ensure that the numbers of Nodal Complaint Centres must be affixed on the electricity bills of the consumers.

All senior executive engineers (XENs) and SDOs (sub-divisional officers) have been instructed to display Nodal Complaint Centres’  numbers in an attractive way (colourful) on the notice boards and appropriate places like cash counter, complaint centres, added the spokesperson.

As of now, the PSPCL serves more than 92 lakh consumers of different categories in the state after it started 1912 phone number or SMS facility for the registration of their complaints.

With onset of paddy season, to accommodate increase in number of complaints, PSPCL has almost doubled the capacity to register complaints, said the spokesperson.

“Nevertheless, it has been observed that in an inevitable situation, that is during dust and windstorm, the number of calls to register complaints shoot up causing congestion due to rush on the phone 1912 and it becomes difficult for the consumers to register their complaints.
