Rajnath Singh inaugurates CyPAD, NCFL in Dwarka

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday inaugurated Cyber Prevention Awareness and Detection (CyPAD) Centre and the National Cyber Forensic Lab (NCFL) in Dwarka. The national security agencies and Delhi Police will use facilities at NCFL set up under Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (ICCCC).

Boosting the morale of Paramilitary forces after tragic terror suicide attack in Pulwama, Singh said, “Morale of armed forces is high.” You can see how success is being achieved in neutralising terrorists,” the Minister added.

Singh, who was also chief guest at the function, also felicitated 15 school teachers who had done commendable work in the field of cyber safety awareness as Cyber Awareness Mitras.  Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and Commissioner of Police Amulya Patnaik were present at the function.

“I assure that this CyPAD and NCFL partnership will leave no stone unturned in its quest to support the national effort to tackle the nefarious designs of terrorists,” said Patnaik.

While addressing the gathering Singh, expressed his confidence that with this facility, law enforcement agencies, especially Delhi Police, will be able to address the challenge of cyber crimes.

Minister also said that cyber awareness is very critical to proactively address the challenge of cyber crimes, and in this regard, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has started a very popular Twitter handle @CyberDost and Delhi Police has also taken various measures to spread awareness in all schools through school computer teachers.
