After protracted dithering, the Municipal Corporation of Haridwar (MCH) has finally woken up to resolve the disputed matter of Sati Ghat parking area. Sati Ghat is a prominent Ghat of the city where thousands of people come everyday for doing last rites of their deceased ones and the parking generates lots of revenue which is being lost by the corporation on account of the site being encroached upon by an outfit. A day ago,municipal commissioner Udayveer Rana asked the corporation officials to remove the illegal parking being run by one so called leader. Speaking to The Pioneer, Rana said, “My team is working on the same issue and by end of day we will get the report. They have been asked to remove encroachment and take over so that revenue from parking can once again start coming to MCH.â€
