State Govt planning Healthcare Scheme for all: CM Baghel

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said that the Central Government’s Ayushman Bharat scheme was under study and could be replaced by his Government with another scheme. Health Minister T.S. Singhdeo is personally studying the proposal of replacing the Central scheme with a ‘Universal Health Scheme’, he said. Talking to reporters here at Swami Vivekananda Airport on Tuesday morning the Chief Minister hinted that a health scheme for all could be launched in the State for which the State Health Minister himself is finalizing the plan. Notably, ‘Universal Health Scheme’ was also an important part of the poll manifesto of the Congress party in which it has promised assuring healthcare facility for all and removing the restriction of somebody being Below Poverty Line.
