During an interview with Ratan Tata when pointed out that people take undue advantage of this policy and the company loses several man hours due to this, he smiled and answered calmly,” Encouragement is something I do not need to teach you. Only a few people donate blood because they want to.
Talking about man-hours, we may be losing some man hours doing that, but have you ever thought of the number of man-hours that gets added to the person’s life who receives that blood in necessity? I am ready to sacrifice some of our man-hours for the better good of humanity.”
On World Blood Donors Day Tata Motors Jamshedpur is organising its blood donation camp on June 14.
