Two State IPS officers chosen for award

Two IPS officers from the State have been selected for the 2019 Union Home Minister’s medal for excellence in investigation.

Koraput Superintendent of Police Kanwar Vishal Singh and Crime Branch SP Madkar Sandeep Sampat are among 94 other recipients from different States and Central investigating agencies across the country selected for the prestigious award.

This medal was constituted in 2018 with an objective to promote high professional standards of investigation of crime and to recognise excellence in investigation by Investigating Officers (IOs).
