‘Every child should have the right start’
Actress Sonam Kapoor has joined the Bollywood bandwagon spreading awareness on children's rights, as part of #WhyTheGap campaign promoted by Save The Children India.
The actress shared a photo of her school days and tweeted, “My school days were the happiest. I believe that education is the path to independence and freedom. We should all be asking #WhyTheGap and working towards #TheRightStart for every child.”
She believes that every child should have the right start because true independence can be achieved through education.
‘I know that all my films have not made wonders at the box office, but that has not stopped me from experimenting. Even if they don’t work, I am glad about the roles I am offered. They are strong and well edged-out. As an actor, I am always looking for something different which is a new challenge and a great learning.’
