Aligarh: 7,525 kg milk powder seized from paneer plant

The Food Safety Department successfully conducted a raid and arrested an adulterant. The team recovered 7525 kg dry milk powder from the paneer plant operated at Nagalia Gorella in Jattari under Tappal police station area. The paneer was also recovered from the spot. After filling the samples of both, the team sent the samples to Lucknow Lab. The plant operator also supplied paneer to Tappal, Khair in Noida and NCR.            

District designated officer Sarvesh Kumar Mishra said that the team of food safety officer Kripa Shankar, under the supervision of Chief Food Safety Officer Akshay Pradhan, raided the paneer manufacturing unit of Jogendra Singh at Ngalia Gorela. 7525 kg dry milk powder was seized and collected two paneer samples from here. Adulterated paneer was being manufactured here in large quantities. On the other hand, another action was taken under the supervision of senior food safety officer Syed Abadullah, in which a sample of barfi from Amit Kumar Sharma's manufacturing unit, a sample of Mawa was collected from Pankaj Sharma's facility in Kasimpur. About 50 kg of contaminated sweets found here which were destroyed on the spot.

A sample of Mawa was collected from Vinod Sharma's shop from Kasimpur town and a sample of paneer and rasgulla from the Chandraveer Singh Satha shop. About 250 kg of sweets found on the spot at Chandvir Singh's shop were destroyed. A sample of adulterated open mustard oil was taken from Manoj Kumar's facility at Canal Bridge. This action has been taken on the possibility of adulteration. All samples have been sent to a lab in Lucknow for examination. Further legal action will be taken after the test report will receive.
