‘Geet Ramayan’ presented in Gamak at MPSTM

The second day of Gamak was all about calm and spiritual music. Geet Ramayan was presented at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum on Wednesday.

Notably, Gamak is an event showcasing art variations. It is being organised by Directorate of Culture, Madhya Pradesh.

The event is organized by Marathi Academy and the presentation of 'Abhishek Ramayan' by fellow artists. Geet Ramayana is a Marathi language music poem. This composition was composed by Marathi poet Gajanan Digambar Mad Golkar has been composed by the famous Marathi singer and composer Sudhir Phadke. In view of its popularity, it has been translated and sung in 37 languages of the country.

The credit for the Hindi translation of the song Ramayana goes to Pandit Rudra Dutt Mishra of Gwalior.  Abhay Manke has sung songs of Ramayana in Hindi on many prestigious forums in the country.

The main introduction of  Manke is as a special presenter of the song Ramayana. So far, 3556 programs of Marathi and Hindi songs Ramayana have been completed in the country and abroad in which World Ramayana Conference Mauritius Ramayana Center is the chief.

He performed 'Ram Janma' in Raga Mand, 'Sita Swayamvar' in Raag Bihaag, 'Ram One Gaman' in Raag Todi and 'Kevat affair', 'Setu Bandhan', 'Coronation' in mixed ragas etc. Presented with and ended the singing with the song 'Ramayan ki Sunana ...' in Raga Bhairavi.

In the presentation,  Amrita Manke accompanied as co-singer, Vaibhav Bhagat on tabla, Ravi Salke accompanied on the keyboard, Jitendra Sharma on harmonium and Raju Pasakhede accompanied on Jhanj-Manjira.
