A 20-year-old youth died while his friend escaped with injuries after thier bike was hit head on by a speeding car at Golkhedi under Eintkhedi police station area on Tuesday.

The injured youths were rushed to a hospital where the one was declared dead. Police said that the youths met accident at Golkhedi road where one of them was escaped the accident while the other died on the spot. The deceased was identified as Sohail Khan(20)  while injured youth was identified as Arsalan Khan.

The father of deceased works as truck driver and on Tuesday cleaner had gone to refill fuel at Golkhedi petrol pump where he fell short of money and informed for money after which deceased was asked to provide money. The deceased was accompanied by Arsalan and later they met accident.

After the accident Sohail died on the spot while Arsalan escaped, said police. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and started further investigation.

The two reached near Golkhedi in the afternoon and later they were found in an injured state by commuters and locals who informed the police and on the receipt of the information police team rushed to the spot and started investigation.

Police have not found any details of the vehicle which the hit as no one have spotted the errant vehicle due to darkness. Nearby CCTV cameras would be investigated. The villagers are questioned in the accident which could help in revealing the details of the errant vehicle driver who escaped the spot with the vehicle.
