40 Good Governance Reforms initiated by Haryana Govt this yr: CM

Marking the celebrations of Good Governance Day, on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and great freedom fighter Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya here, Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday said that during this year, more than 40 Good Governance Reforms were initiated by the State Government to realise Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s vision of minimum government and maximum governance.

He said that in the year 2021, more such Good Governance reforms will be initiated to ensure delivery of citizen-centric services to the people of the state in a time-bound and hassle-free manner.

Khattar was addressing the officers at the state-level function held here which was telecast live in around 150 places in various districts, sub divisions, tehsils and blocks in the presence of Union Ministers, MPs, Cabinet Ministers and MLAs.

Appreciating officers and employees at both headquarter and district levels for dedicatedly bringing Good Governance reforms in the government machinery, the Chief Minister said, “It was last year only when he had resolved to observe the year 2020 as 'Sushasan Sankalp Varsh' and while reiterating his commitment of taking Haryana swiftly on the digital track, various e-governance reforms were introduced during the entire year. Not only this, various IT reforms initiated by the State Government were also highly appreciated and awarded by the Central Government.”

He said that now it is  the responsibility of officers and employees at field level to ensure the successful implementation of these reforms and if required employees and officers will also be imparted training for this.

Hailing the officers for adopting multi pronged  approach and bringing new Technology driven reforms  to tackle the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, he said that diverse IT measures  adopted by  every department  not only played a pivotal role in strengthening State Government’s fight against this Pandemic but has also ensured that help reaches every needy person. 

Providing financial assistance, ensuring the availability of health facilities, ensuring education to lakh of students through online medium are among measures initiated by the State Government to convert COVID-19  Pandemic into an opportunity, said the chief minister.

Chief Secretary, Vijai Vardhan, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, D.S Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, V. Umashankar and Administrative Secretaries of various departments were present on this occasion.

10 STATE LEVEL GOOD GOVERNANCE AWARDS GIVEN

As many as 10 State level Good Governance awards were given by the Chief Minister during a state-level event held on the occasion of Good Governance Day here.

The awardees were honoured for bringing in digital reforms in their respective departments and further ensuring that State Government’s determined and persistent efforts to employ e-Governance for making delivery of citizen-centric services to the people in a time-bound and hassle-free manner helps it to move up the ladder of progressive states.

Furthermore, riding on the strength of their recent digitization initiatives, even during the tough times of ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, almost every department meticulously incorporated Information Technology in their day to day functioning so as to create Simple, Moral, Accountable, Responsive and Transparent (SMART) governance.

From launching eKharid, Online Release orders and Billing System( Information and Public Relation Department), Jansahayak Mobile app, Antyodaya Saral, Ayushman Bharat, Implementation of eSanjeevni OPD teleconsultation services etc no stone was left to ensure best practices of good governance even in difficult time of pandemic.
