AAP’s Delhi Govt extending all possible help to agitating farmers: Bhagwant Mann

Tuesday, 01 December 2020 | PNS | Chandigarh

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state president Bhagwant Mann on Monday said that the party’s Government in Delhi is extending all possible assistance to the agitating farmers, currently camping in the national capital, demanding withdrawal of the three central farm laws.

He said that Arvind Kejriwal Government in Delhi, realizing its moral duty to extend all possible assistance to the struggling farmers, had put in place facilities, like putting medical teams on constant vigil, availability of ambulances, langar (community kitchen), drinking water through tankers and makeshift toilets for  farmers in the Delhi area.

“Kejriwal had instructed all party leaders, MLAs, and volunteers, to rise above petty party politics, and extend a helping hand to the farmers in every possible way,” he said.

In fact, the medical facilities turned out to be a ‘life-saving’ for an 85-year-old farmer from Udhoke village in Tarn Taran district, who was sitting on dharna at Kundli border. He reportedly developed severe chest pain late Sunday evening prompting AAP volunteers present there to immediately contact the ambulance service deployed by Delhi Government, and was rushed to a nearby hospital in Delhi with the help of ambulance staff. With timely help AAP volunteers and the medical staff on duty the life of the elderly man was saved.
