Monday, 28 September 2020 | Staff Reporter | DURG

A special Android app ‘Durg Home Care’, to monitor the health condition of Covid patients in home isolation in Chhattisgarh's Durg district, has been launched by the district administration, it was announced on Sunday.

The app is available on play store. It is for Covid patients in home isolation who are registered in the data base of the district administration, an official press release said.

The app can be used only by active patients. In the app, the patients can register their body vitals like temperature in the morning and evening, pulse rate, oxygen saturation level and other details.

The data submitted by patients will be monitored by the health monitoring team.

The app will also have information about availability of beds in government hospitals and Covid care centres as well as emergency numbers.

The app has been designed in a way that any patient can easily submit the details and monitor his own health.

The app interface is such that if the data of body temperature entered is normal, then the entry will be in yellow colour. However, if the data is more than the normal range, the colour will turn red, the press release said.

In case of emergency during home isolation, Covid numbers 0788-2215151/52/53 and 0788-2960077 can be reached seeking help.
