Anti-smog gun in Central Park to mitigate pollution level

Tuesday, 14 July 2020 | Staff Reporter | NEW DELHI

To mitigate pollution levels in the National Capital, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has installed ‘Anti Smog Gun’ in Central Park.

Anti-Smog Gun is designed to create an ultra-fine fog consisting of very fine water droplets (less than 10 micron size), a senior official said, adding that these tiny water droplets are spread in larger area with the help of high speed fan which absorb even the smallest dust particles in the air.

NDMC Chairman Dharmendra inaugurated it in the presence of Secretary of NDMC Amit Singla and other senior officers.

This device is designed to reduce air pollution by spraying atomised water into the atmosphere so that the dust and pollution particles get clear from the environment and PM 10/2.5 gets reduced.
