Covid hospitals to have telemedicine facility soon

The Covid hospitals of Dhanbad would soon have telemedicine facilities so that patients may get advice in case of absence of attending doctor in hospital.

Dhanbad deputy commissioner Uma Shankar Singh said that this would help patients to get right advice in the time of need while undergoing treatment.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has been directed to get the broadband connection installed at upcoming Sadar hospital, Covid hospitals at BCCL Bhuli, Railway regional training institute -Bhuli, Nirsa Polytechnic building besides other hospitals that are already operational now.

The district administration is well prepared to get 500 beds facilities for the treating positive patients here keeping in view the rising number of cases.

It's worth mentioning here that almost all available beds at Covid hospital and Covid centre at PMCH are full, these hospitals have capacity of housing 100 patients each.

The DC said, upcoming hospitals also would have ventilator facilities for critically ill patients.        

The BSNL authorities have been directed to install facilities within 24 hours of requisition.
