Launching an assault on the state government for merely fulfilling its constitutional obligation by organising a one day monsoon session, the Manglaur MLA and senior Congress leader Qazi Nizamuddin has said that the state government is running away from dialogue. Terming dialogue as a key for success of democracy, the Congress leader said that it is unfortunate that the present regime is not giving the elected representatives the right of asking questions. Addressing a virtual news conference on Tuesday Nizamuddin said that issues like pandemic of Covod-19 and failure of government to deal with it, unemployment, returnees during the lockdown, price rise, plight of farmers, recent disaster in many parts of the state, closure of industries, pending payment of sugarcane farmers, pathetic condition of tourism, Lokayukta and preparation for Kumbh are some of the many issues which demand immediate discussion. He said that the BJP government has not fulfilled its promise of loan waiver of farmers. The Congress leader also took the government to task for showing an apathetic attitude towards the Kumbh works. He claimed that the government has made its mind that the Kumbh would not be organised on a large scale in view of pandemic.
