Labour Dept inks MoU with LSIPL

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Labour, Planning and Training Department and LaborNet Services India Private Limited at Labour Commissioner's Office, Shram Bhavan here on Thursday. Under this MoU, the work of providing employment to the migrant workers of Jharkhand will be done through Labournet Services India Private Limited.

Labour Commissioner, R N Yadav said on the occasion that the government will provide employment to the labourers not only in Jharkhand but in any State of the country. For this, labourers will be required to register on Samadhan portal. After registration, they will get a green or red card, take it and go to other places. This will give them the benefit of government-run schemes.

Yadav said that labourers will be provided jobs, wages, medical, healthcare and living accommodation as per labour laws. Under this Covid 19 safety protocols will be ensured while housing and working for workers. Work will also be done to ensure safety, sanitation and drinking water facilities at both the workplace and the place of residence. Nursery, primary school and Anganwadis are also being arranged for the children of labourers, if the workers want to work with their children, then their children will also be looked after.

On this occasion Umesh Prasad, Director Jharkhand State Labour Institute, Government of Jharkhand, Ram Kolavenu Labornet, Johnson Topno, State Manager, PHIA Foundation, Shikha, Helpdesk Lead, State Migrant Control Room, were present.
