Informing the media persons the general manager of Ordnance Factory Dehradun (OFD),  P K Dixit said on Tuesday that the factory has started production of the telescope after successful trials.

He said that under the Atmanirbhar Bharat scheme, the ordnance factory has started production of many products. Under the scheme, a day light telescope for assault rifles was inaugurated on Tuesday.  Informing about the telescope which would be available for the general public, Dixit said that it would cost in the range of Rs 20 – 25 lakhs. This telescope earlier was being made exclusively for the armed forces but now under the Atmanirbhar Bharat it is being produced for open market sale.
