The Chandigarh-based Pracheen Kala Kendra (PKK) will hold a convocation of the successful students of Visharad (B Mus) and Bhaskar final (M Mus) of the sessions 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 belonging to Odisha here on January 12.
Its secretary Sajal Koser, registrar Shobha Koser, regional coordinator Dr Basanta Kumar Mishra, North Eastern Kolkatta Office sub registrar Ananda Ranjan Borua and supertending accountant Byomakesh Jena informed this while addressing a Press conference here on Friday.
Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy will be the chief guest and Rajya Sabha MP Padmavibhushan Shilpi Guru Raghunath Mahapatra will be the guest of honour of the convocation. Dr Kirtan Narayan Padhi, eminent musicologist and linguist, will deliver the keynote address. Poet Rakhyaka Naya, music director Padmashree Prafulla Kara, Tabala artist Pandit Umesh Chandra Kar, writer -journalist Himanshu Khatua will be felicitated for their outstanding work.
Successful students of Visharad and Bhaskar courses will be awarded diplomas while meritorious candidates will be presented a medal and a certificate of merit. A well-knit musical programme will follow.
