Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu on Wednesday declared to launch a dharma yudh (crusade) for Punjab’s welfare while asking the people to come together.
Sidhu, releasing the second video on his ‘Jittega Punjab’ YouTube channel, minced no words to attack the incumbent Congress Government and the previous SAD-BJP government of which he has been an active part.
He hinted at the prevailing corruption in the “system” for all these 15 years (10 years of SAD-BJP coalition government and the remaining of the Congress regime) to assert that he continued his fight till the time he was sidelined.
“In the last 15 years, I toiled hard in helping to form three governments in Punjab. But every time, I was confronted by the deeply-entrenched system which always lured me to join hands, promising rich returns,” said Sidhu in his piquant style adding that the system has become a curse in the path of Punjab’s development.
“Every time the system stopped me from working, I not only confronted the system but fought against it and didn’t move back an inch till the time I was sidelined,” he added.
At the same time, the former Minister also made it clear that his fight was not against any specific person, but that of ideology.
