A 33-year-old man was seriously injured after he suffered three gunshot wounds in his hip and legs over a minor dispute over building construction material in the Defense Colony area at Bhondsi in Gurugram, the police said on Wednesday.
The injured was identified as Surjit of Kadarpur village while the accused was identified as Manjeet and his brother. Both the accused are yet to be nabbed.
According to the police, Surjit owns an Earth mover machine and tractor and used to do work of levelling the sand on land.
At the time of the incident the victim was levelling the sand at Satish' property in the Defense colony area.
The complainant Surjit stated in his police complaint when he was doing his work Manjeet asked him to stop the JCB machine as his construction meterial which was lying out his house got effected due to dust.
"The complainant told him that he is going to stop the work but Manjeet started arguing with him and Satish and later he fired three bullets shot in the victims hip and legs the pistol was provided by his brother and later the duo brother fled the spot leaving the critically injured behind," Surjit told the police.
The villagers later admitted the complainant in a private hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, the villagers surrounded the Bhondsi police station on Wednesday over inaction against the culprits who was absconding.
They alleged that a criminal case was also registered against the culprit in Delhi police station which is pending in the court.
"A case under relevant sections of the IPC has been registered against the culprits at Bhondsi police station. Further probe is on. The accused will be arrested soon," said Subhash Boken, spokesperson of the Gurugram police.
