Nadda, CMs, Dy CMs of 11 BJP-ruled States visit Ayodhya

Chief ministers and deputy chief ministers of 11 Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled States along with BJP national president JP Nadda visited Ayodhya and performed aarti and offered prayers at the Saryu Ghat in Ayodhya on Wednesday.Nadda said that all the chief ministers wanted to have 'darshan' of Ram Lalla since everyone had gathered in Varanasi for the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“After the inauguration of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, a meeting of chief ministers was held. All of us wanted to have a darshan of Ram Lalla," Nadda said while addressing reporters in Ayodhya.The scheduled visit also included offering prayers at Hanuman Garhi temple and Saryu Ghat.

Local MP Lallu Singh and BJP district president Sanjeev Singh welcomed the guests . They also visited the site where the Ram temple is being constructed. "We also wanted to review the grand temple that is being built. The chief ministers keep meeting from time to time. Since everyone had come to Kashi they wanted to visit Ram Lalla," he added.The BJP president also said that it was his "heart's desire" that a grand Ram temple be built here. "It's a matter of joy that the dream of crores of Indians is being realised," he said.This is the first such visit by the BJP chief to the Ram Janmabhoomi after the Supreme Court's verdict on the issue.The Supreme Court delivered its verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case on November 9, 2019, giving ownership of the 2.77 acres of disputed land in Ayodhya to the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas, while simultaneously ordering that five acres of land be provided to the Sunni Waqf Board for building a mosque.
