Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, along with his Council of Ministers, on Monday submitted a detailed memorandum on vital farmers’ issues to Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit to forward the same to the Prime Minister urging him to impress upon the Uttar Pradesh Government for taking firm steps in ensuring justice to the families of the victims of violence in Lakhimpur Kheri.
The Chief Minister, in the memorandum, also reiterated the need to urgently review and repeal the three agriculture laws which have caused major resentment among the farming community.
