3rd edition of ‘Vishwarang’ to be held from Nov 25-28

Drenched in the diverse colors of literature, culture and arts, 'Vishwarang', is ready with its third edition to spread the message of peace and unity across the world. A yearly cultural event of Rabindranath Tagore University, this culture and art fest will be organised from November 25 to 28 with its creative grandeur and dignity in Bhopal.

Different sessions being organised this year under the Vishwarang fest will be of special interest for children and youth. Union Minister Prahlad Patel will inaugurate the fest on the evening of November 25 and with this, various sessions will kick start. It is noteworthy that this time 'Vishwarang' is being organised in 26 other countries of the world including India.

For little kids eye-catching decorations have been done on the premises of Rabindranath Tagore University. The children can take part in a number of activities including screening of children's film, puppet show, mask making, film and photography workshop, kite flying, glider making, painting, theatrical workshop etc. in the various sessions to be held on four simultaneous days. A talk-show linked to children's film production will witness professional opinions of famous producers, directors, composers and experts in animation technology. The evenings of this cultural and art fest will be filled with power-pack music and dance performances coupled with an International Mushaira, by talented artistes, especially those popular among youth. More than five thousand children and youth are expected to take part in this fest.

In this mega event of 'Vishwarang 2021', Madhya Pradesh Cabinet ministers Kamal Patel, Vishwas Sarang and Usha Thakur will remain present as guests. 'Vishwarang 2021' will commence with inauguration of Tagore National School of Drama along with installation and garlanding of statue of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore on the evening of November 25, 2021. During this, various works based on the subject and matters of 'Vishwarang' will also be released.

Director General of 'Vishwarang' and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, Santosh Choubey and Director Aditi Vats, jointly gave the above information in a press conference. They added that more than thirty countries across the world have taken inspiration from the goal of cultural harmony set three years back when the ‘Vishwarang' was started with a vision to encompass literature and arts. During Press Conference, Registrar of Rabindranath Tagore University Vijay Singh, Director of Vanmali Srajan Peeth Mukesh Verma, Famous poet Balram Gumasta, Director of Tagore International Art and Culture Centre Vinay Upadhyay and Film Critique and writer Sudeep Sohni were also present. 

The humane nature of Indian language and culture has been heard by all over the world and the need for 'Vishwarang' has been accepted cordially. In the series of experiment and Innovation, 'Vishwarang 2021' focuses on new generation cultural trends and creativity.

Apart from live cultural performances on open-air stage, various activities will also be broadcasted on the virtual platform of 'Vishwarang'.

For the children taking part in ‘Vishwarang’ a number of popular children’s movies, those selected for national-international awards, will be screened from November 26 to 28. Children can enjoy films like Pahuna: The Little Visitors, Goopy – Bagha and Monkey King at the Sharda Auditorium in the morning sessions. Prominent children’s filmmakers Paakhi A Tyrewala, Narayan Parshruman, Amol Gupte and Saumitra Ranade will interact with art critic Vinay Upadhyay and young filmmaker Sudeep Sohni on issues related to cinema production in the afternoon sessions.
