AAP stands with people against Govt brutality: Jugran

Wednesday, 03 March 2021 | PNS | Dehradun

Aam Aadmi Party leader Ravinder Jugran said that AAP will support the Ghat protesters by demonstrating in Gairsain and in all assembly constituencies of Uttarakhand. He averred that the party will pressure the government to act on the culprits in the lathi charge case.

Addressing the media, Jugran said that chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat should apologise for the treatment meted out to the protesters including women at Diwalikhal near Bharadisain. Protesters who were demonstrating in support of their pending demand for widening of the Ghat-Nandprayag motor road are innocent and were there to raise their demand. He said that local intelligence was well aware of people who were planning to protest near Bharadisain for the last two-three days.  The government had earlier announced that work of widening the Ghat-Nandprayag road would be completed but it is still pending, he added.
