BJP extends support to agitation of job seekers

Sunday, 24 January 2021 | PNS | Ranchi

Jharkhand BJP on Saturday extended support to contractual staffs as well as aspirants of Panchayat secretary who has been carrying indefinite agitation from the past many days to draw attention towards their demands.

Jharkhand BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash along with several leaders of the party visited them at the Birsa Chowk of state capital where they are carrying agitation.

The BJP criticized the Hemant Soren government for suppressing a peaceful agitation by using the police force to end the agitation.

The BJP alleged that the atrocities on protesters remind emergency imposed by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1975.

“On yesterday they were beaten black and blue by police on a flimsy ground that the agitation is creating law and order problem. I wonder there is no law and order problem when leaders and workers of the Congress and the JMM carry protest at the Raj Bhavan. The government can’t dare to use force against the JMM workers when they hit the road for protest. But when youths of Jharkhand hit the road for their demands the Hemant Soren government suppress their voice,” Prakash said.

Prakash alleged the state government for making the life of youths miserable for making them jobless.

Prakash said that across the state as many as 5000 youths are agitating after their contract was terminated by the government.

All of them were appointed by the previous BJP-Ajsu Party government headed by Raghubar Das under provisions of 14th finance commission.

The BJP alleged the state government terminated their contract just because they were appointed during the BJP led government.

“I can just pity upon this government for believing that since their appointment was done during the period of the BJP government so they are the BJP workers. The hypocrisy of the government has been exposed. Before coming to the power Hemant Soren had promised youths will be given jobs. But contrary to this jobs are being taken. The BJP will fight for youths,” said Prakash.
