Chief Minister Hemant Soren has approved the proposal of the School Education and Literacy Department of Rs 700 crore for the payment of salary and other emoluments of graduate trained teachers working in upgraded high schools in the light of the release number-21/2016 of Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission.
At the same time, the CM has also approved the proposal for grant of over Rs 191.41 crore for the payment of teachers and non-teaching personnel, against the posts created in the un-aided minority secondary schools of the State. The amount has been allocated for the financial year 2021-22.
The CM has also approved the amount of grant-in-aid of Rs 5 crore 10 lakh 26 thousand for the establishment expenditure of teachers and non-teaching staff of un-aided sanctioned Sanskrit schools (upper, primary, middle and primary level) of the State.
Apart from this, he has approved the proposal of the Department of School Education and Literacy of Rs 58 crore 85 lakh 20 thousand for the grant-in-aid for the establishment expenditure of teachers and non-teaching staff of non-approved Madrasas. This amount is for the financial year 2021-22.
The CM has also approved the proposal of the School Education and Literacy Department for Rs 10 crore for the Chief Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme in the financial year 2021-22.
It is to be known that the Chief Minister Special Scholarship Scheme has been started by the State Government from the financial year 2020-21, which covers only those students who do not get any kind of scholarship from any other scheme presently.
Under this scheme, scholarships are provided to students for 10 months.
This includes Rs 50 per month for Class 1-4, Rs 100 per month for Class 5-6 and Rs 150 rupees for Class 7-8 students.
Soren has also approved the proposal of the Department of Higher and Technical Education of Rs 60 for Modernisation, strengthening, establishment expenses and contracts of all State polytechnics, state women polytechnics and new polytechnics. It will also be used in the payment of salaries of personnel hired on contract basis. This amount has been allocated for the financial year 2021-22.
