CM asks officials to save human lives, properties from fire

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday directed officials to take all necessary measures to check incidents of fire so that loss of human lives and properties could be checked.
Praising the efforts made by the personnel of the Fire Department in preventing and fighting fire incidents, Yogi Adityanath, on the beginning of Fire Safety Week here on Wednesday, said that several other measures should be taken seriously so that the loss of lives and public property could be checked.
He said that to better equip the Fire Department, during the current financial year 2020-21, the government had added 38 water tenders, 35 jeep towing vehicles and gadgets worth over Rs 5 crore.
An official communiqué said that during the last year, the Fire Department attended 20,776 SOS related to fire incidents and saved 1,513 human lives besides property worth over Rs 4.51 crore.  
The Fire Safety Week will end on April 20.
