CPM decries rising oil prices

Monday, 01 March 2021 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

Demanding immediate rollback of hiked prices of petroleum products like petrol, diesel and LPG, the CPI(M) Bhubaneswar Committee staged a demonstration at Master Canteen Square on Sunday.

Party leaders alleged that when prices of crude oil are coming down to an all-time low in the international market, there is no logic in the ever-spiraling petroleum products’ prices here hitting the common man hard.“The rise in petroleum prices have a cascading adverse effect on common people as it paves way for increase in the prices of essential commodities.

That’s the reason we are protesting against the rising prices,” said party local secretary Rama Chandra Tripathy.
