The exhibition ‘Shalaka 11’, a collection of Gond tribal paintings is being put up at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum. The exhibition portrays the creations of young painter Dwarka Paraste of the Gond community. It is put up in the 'Likhandara Gallery' of Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum. A painting exhibition of 'Shalaka 11' will be held till February 28. Born in 1985 in village Garakamatta in Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh, Dwarka Paraste is a young painter of the Gond community.
He spent his childhood listening to the myths and stories of the village, so the desire to get to know them deeply. But the way to convert those myths, designs, signs into pictures, or art piece was inspirational Like the painters of the entire tribal community, in their paintings, animals, trees and vegetation of the wildlife are seen, but each painter has a different vision in the picture creation, which makes the pictures of that artist attractive, in his paintings.
There is also the coordination of flora and trees with wildlife. In most of his paintings, the maternalism in animals and the plot created from it creates a unique scene. Dwarka Prastane started its active participation in training and art camps, exhibitions since 2000. Dwarka has exhibited his paintings in many places of the state and the country during his 20-year-long journey.
